One of my pet peeves is when a restaurant that offers 'short ribs' on the menu and what arrives are 'boneless short ribs'. These are restaurant speak for chuck steak, because real short ribs contain bones and unctuous fat. The braised 'short ribs' was actually a bowl of beef stew. My 12 oz prime rib was cold, tough, and unremarkable.
